Similar to America's Got Talent, this event is a chance for students to show their talents outside of the classroom to a panel of judges, and possibly win a prize if they are ranked highest among the participants.

Come learn about plant protein! In this hands-on cooking class, participants will learn the health benefits of incorporating more of these protein-rich vegetables into their meals and snacks. We will explore foods such as beans, lentils, tofu, tempeh, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. Participants will learn how to combine ingredients to make complete proteins, enhance flavor using herbs and spices, and prepare balanced meals that are deliciously satisfying.

Recipes with Everyday Pantry Items is a practical, budget-friendly cooking class designed to help participants turn simple staples into flavorful, nutritious dishes. In this hands-on session, we’ll explore how to build balanced, nutrient-dense meals using common pantry items such as canned beans, rice, pasta, canned vegetables, broth, spices, nut butters, and shelf-stable grains. Participants will learn how to combine these ingredients with fresh or frozen foods to maximize flavor, stretch their grocery budget, and reduce food waste.
