2026 Restorative Justice Symposium: Navigating the Weeds of Restorative Justice Practice

Ingrid Johnson (UAF Department of Justice) and Rei Shimizu (UAA Social Work) host the 2026 Restorative Justice Symposium, themed “Navigating the Weeds of Restorative Justice Practice,” March 30-April 1. This free, virtual event is open to the public and features sessions from 1-4 p.m. daily. Panels will explore lived experiences in restorative processes, legal pathways into RJ programs in Alaska, the role of facilitators and interactive program development dialogues with emerging Alaska initiatives.
