During this time, she worked with home gardeners, community gardeners and the commercial horticulture industry in both Anchorage and Fairbanks. In 2019, she taught a course on lilacs and has been trying to figure out how to identify lilac species/cultivars based on flower type, leaf shape, form and suckering habit.
