PVCC Featured Events Empty Bowls Fundraiser Event: Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, 11-1pm, KSC 1000, The students and faculty of the PVCC Ceramics Studio will have hand-made bowls for sale to raise awareness about food insecurity and hunger in our community. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Puma Pantry, which furnishes donations in the form of non-perishable food items, toiletries, and funds to help our fellow Pumas in need. Bowls will be available for purchase from $5-$20; cash, check, or credit card accepted. We are grateful to have North Phoenix based, Amici Catering offering to donate their fantastic soup made from scratch. The concept of Empty Bowls began in 1990 in a Michigan high school when two art teachers decided to have a food drive centered around hand made bowls made by students and teachers accompanied by a soup-line style lunch.
