In this interactive session, participants will learn the fundamentals of creating and maintaining a sourdough starter, understanding natural fermentation, and baking a beautiful, crusty loaf from scratch. We will cover the science behind sourdough, including how yeast works, the importance of hydration, proper kneading and stretch-and-fold techniques, bulk fermentation, shaping, scoring, and baking methods. In addition, participants will also learn about the many health benefits of sourdough, including gut health, lower blood sugar, nutrient absorption, and whole grains.
