Info Session for the Faculty Led Study Abroad to León, Spain.
We are holding our SECOND INFO SESSION about the León Program 2026 on Thursday, December 11 in BSS 202 from 12 to 1 pm.
The León Program is a full semester during the summer that takes place in Spain from June 5 to July 31, 2026.
The León Program is a faculty-led eight week program offering 12 upper division units in Spanish, including UD 3, Arts or Humanities. Stay with a local family, visit cultural and natural places guided by faculty, and participate in Service Learning activities with local organizations. Open to all majors; priority will be given to those with 2 semesters of Spanish or equivalent experience.

Dr. Cutcha Risling Baldy is an Associate Professor of Native American Studies at Cal Poly Humboldt who researches Indigenous feminisms, California Indians, Environmental Justice, Traditional Ecological Knowledge and decolonization. She is the Co-Director of the NAS Rou Dalagurr Food Sovereignty Lab & Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute where she leads several research projects focused on the resurgence of Indigenous Science and place-based learning. This includes the "Food for Indigenous Futures Project" which looks at connections between food justice, food sovereignty, mental health, and substance abuse prevention for Native American Youth.
