With the help of Yurok, Hupa, and Chinese American residents– and framed by archival remnants– Many Moons investigates the ghostly marks left on a landscape repurposed for settlement. DIY Transformative Creativity Workshop

Ra Avis (she/her) is a memoirist, artist, facilitator, and community archivist. As a widowed, formerly incarcerated, autistic, Desi-Chicana writer, her work navigates the intersections of grief, disability, incarceration, and collective care. Asia Johnson is a writer, filmmaker, and activist for the rights of incarcerated people. She is the Manager of Storytelling for zealo.us, a national advocacy, arts, education, and media institute. Her debut short film “Out of Place” screened at universities across the country. She is currently working on her first feature length documentary. Tony Wallin-Sato is a justice-impacted scholar and multi-cultural Nisei writer who teaches in the CRGS dept at Cal Poly Humboldt. Organization: SOCIAL JUSTICE CENTER. Got a Man on the Inside

The patriarchy is infused in every aspect of our lives.  Through Drag King makeup, hair, costuming, and physicality we will explore our experiences with and perspectives on masculinity. We’ll discuss how we are currently experiencing masculinity and what we hope for masculinity to be. SWB Undocu-Week Event #3

During this Event, Scholars without Borders will be tabling at the quad. We will be sharing about who we are and the support we offer. During this tabling, individuals will have the opportunity to write a message of support to Undocumented Students/immigrants or share their own story. The messages will be put on a jumbo display board where people will be able to come and disconnect for the businesses of life and reconnect with another as a community. People will be able to also take a picture with our #Dreams don't have Borders poster. The goal is to create a more united and supportive campus environment.
