PI DAY
We are excited to celebrate Pi Day (3.14) with an engaging and educational event focused on Euler’s number, π and its everyday applications. Throughout the day, students will participate in interactive math activities that highlight how π is used in real-world fields such as engineering, architecture, science, and technology. Our goal is to make mathematics both meaningful and fun while encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. To make the celebration even more memorable, we are requesting funding to provide pies for students from Humboldt Pies, a valued community partner who has generously contributed in the past. Incorporating actual pies into our Pi Day celebration adds a hands-on, festive element that helps students connect the mathematical concept of π to something tangible and enjoyable. This support will help us create a fun-filled, engaging learning experience that blends education and community involvement while making math exciting and accessible for all students.
