Intro to Sea Kayaking
Get started with sea kayaking on beautiful Humboldt Bay!
This hands-on course covers the basics of paddling technique, water safety, and boat handling. Under the guidance of expert ACA instructors, you’ll learn how to handle a sit-inside sea kayak, practice essential strokes and bracing, and develop your paddling skills on the water.
Whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve your kayaking technique, this is the perfect introduction to a rewarding outdoor activity. All necessary equipment - including safety gear, wetsuits, personal flotation device (life jacket), kayaks, and paddles - is included.

Please join the Cal Poly Humboldt Sustainability Office, Center for Community Based Learning, and the Environmental Studies department for the third annual Sustainability Mixer at Septentrio Winery on Thursday April 24th from 5-7pm in celebration of Earth Week. All guests will receive one free drink ticket and there will be some light food available. This will be a low key networking event open to all Cal Poly Humboldt students, staff and faculty, and a variety of selected community partners.
