Dance Visions
Join the Cal Poly Humboldt Dance, Music & Theatre Department for their Spring Dance Concert April 23 through 25 at 7 p.m. and April 26 at 2 p.m. in the John Van Duzer Theatre.
The Cal Poly Humboldt Dance Program presents Dance Visions, showcasing an exciting collection of original works created by both student and faculty choreographers. This dynamic performance highlights a diverse range of styles, including contemporary ballet, modern, hip hop, and innovative fusion pieces. Audiences will also experience live music performed by SoniX, enhancing the energy and atmosphere of the show, alongside collaborative set design created in partnership with the Theatre program.
Admission is free for Cal Poly Humboldt students, $15 for adults, and $10 for children and seniors.

Jazz Combos
The Cal Poly Humboldt Department of Dance, Music, and Theatre Presents the Spring 2026 Jazz Combos. The combos will perform Saturday, April 23rd at 7:30 pm at the Fulkerson Recital Hall. Tickets are $15 General, $5 for Children, and free for Humboldt Students with ID. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at tickets.humboldt.edu/dance-music-and-theatre.
Three combos will perform:
“6 Minutes Late” features Gabriel Avila, trumpet, Francisco Gutierrez, trombone, Jazmine Busteed, guitar, Ben Hernandez, bass, and Miguel López, drums. They are performing four tunes: "George's Dilemma" by Clifford Brown, "Chick's Pain" by Mathieu Fiset, and vocalist Ava Williams will join them for Van Morrison's "Moondance" and "Look at Me" by Cécile McLorin Salvant.

Guitar Ensemble
The Cal Poly Humboldt Department of Dance, Music and Theatre presents "The Cal Poly Humboldt Guitar Ensemble” directed by Jennifer Trowebridge. The concert will feature music by Brazilian composers Antonio Carlos Jobim, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Celso Machado as well as Cuban composer Leo Brouwer, and the Beatles, along with student compositions, arrangements, and improvisations. The students will perform solo, duo, trio, and large ensemble works, sharing the variety of ways the guitar can emulate an orchestra, a jazz combo, and a rock band. The Cal Poly Humboldt Department of Dance, Music, and Theatre presents “The Cal Poly Humboldt Recital Series: Vipisa Trio with special Guest Garrick Woods.” The Trio (Cindy Moyer, violin/viola, Simon Oh, piano, Virginia Ryder, clarinet) will be performing works by Mozart, Jennifer Higdon, Vipisa member Simon Oh, and—most excitingly—Quartet for the End of Time by Oliver Messian.
