Ongoing research focuses on the extending water reuse with the objective of reducing liquid discharges that largely control salt costs and environmental impacts. The development of appropriate RAS technologies that operate simply, minimize labor and eliminate points of failure is producing new generation of RAS that are appropriate for marine applications in both coastal and inland areas. The status of marine airlifted/PolyGeyser with pneumatically linked localized sludge digester currently being refined under USDA Small Business Innovated Research funding is discussed.
