In 2011, he began devoting his time to speaking publicly about his own experience and topics of mass injustice in the U.S. that include the proliferation of detention facilities for undocumented immigrants. Today, at 90-years-young, Sam is the only camp survivor who tours nationally and internationally speaking about this dark time in our history.
