Cannabis Studies Spring Preview
The Cannabis Studies program will be hosting an open house during the 2026 Spring Preview at the Cannabis Studies Lab located in the Bret Harte House. We will be offering tours of the Lab and providing incoming students with information related to the Cannabis Studies major and minor programs. A public lecture by Mark van der Laan: Prof. van der Laan is the Jiann-Ping Hsu/Karl E. Peace Professor of Biostatistics and Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley and co-director of Center for Targeted Machine Learning and Causal Inference in the school of public health. He has pioneered methods that combine the flexibility of machine learning with the rigor of causal inference, helping make computational systems more reliable, informative, and useful for real-world judgment and decision-making.

If someone has their sexual pictures shared without their consent, it can feel isolating, hurtful, and overwhelming. In this workshop we’ll discuss survivors' options for after their digital sexual images are shared without their consent. The facilitators are mandated reporters, so we will be talking about this generally; not asking about specific people’s experiences. We simply wish to provide a kind and casual community for those who want to relax and play video games after a long week of classes. While we mainly have setups for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, we also have other fighting games such as Super Smash Bros. Melee, Guilty Gear Strive, Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Marvel vs Capcom, and many more! We also welcome recommendations if there's a specific game you'd like to play!
