Open Boathouse (FREE): Check out the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center (HBAC), meet the rowing teams, go kayaking, and learn to use the rowing machine! Sat Aug 23rd 10am-noon,
Open to all new incoming students to Cal Poly Humboldt. Come join Cal Poly Humboldt Rowing and Outdoor Adventures at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center (921 Waterfront Dr, Eureka, CA 95501)! Activities will begin at 10am and end at noon. A bus will bring students from campus at HGH to the HBAC every 30 min (10/1030/11/1130; we are limited to the number of bus seats per trip). You are welcome to drive yourself. Meet your NCAA D2 Women's Team (2025 Runner Up National Champions, Varsity 4+ Champions) and the Humboldt Men's Crew Team. Interested in joining? Banned Books Read Out
Join the Cal Poly Humboldt Library in celebrating Banned Books Week with a Banned Books Read Out on Friday, October 10, 12-1:30pm in the main lobby of the Library. Read a passage from a book that has been banned, challenged, or censored! Bring a book of your choosing or select a book from a cart filled with banned books. Speakers are initially limited to five minutes, however, there is usually time near the end for additional readings. The registration form will be available closer to the event. ,
