Let's eat lunch together informally and have a loosely structured roundtable about supporting office hours, subverting them, being creative, and those office hours stories that make us laugh and cry and remember why we do this whole thing.

The Dream Big Club at Garfield Campus is hosting a series of events for students to learn about the 6 different types of Community Cultural Wealth. Welcome to credit and noncredit faculty who want to learn more about cultural wealth and how our students embody these various types of it.
Faculty are invited to participate alongside students and hear students' examples of cultural wealth in this series going deep with: 1) aspirational capital 2) linguistic capital 3) familial capital 4) navigational capital 5) social capital 6) resistance capital.
As you participate, please keep the space a student-focused space and focus on observation and learning about the 6 types of community cultural wealth.
Check in at the session with Nayeli to sign in for flex credit. At each session students will learn about the type of capital and then uncover how students have this type of cultural wealth already in their experience.

Join Hector Ochoa, LA County Commissioner for the Aging and Disabilities Department, First District, as he addresses changes in disability regulations, the attack on the Olmstead Act (the right to receive state supports and community services versus institutionalization), and how these changes are affecting our disability communities.
