CPL and Statewide Recommendations
Learn about Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) and how to review the statewide recommendations from Mapping Articulated Pathways (MAP). In this workshop we'll introduce/review what CPL is, what can count as CPL, and then how to start by comparing your own discipline courses to the statewide recommendations. We'll focus on the education and job experiences that veterans often have, as well as other working professionals who may have industry-level certifications or licenses, and then how faculty can compare the knowledge and skills from these experiences to our own Course Outlines of Record (COR)s and C-ID descriptors. If you attend in-person, bring your laptop!

Spring Refresh: Organization & Navigatio
This Spring Refresh session on Course Organization & Navigation aligns with the California Community Colleges (CCC) OER Course Design Rubric and accessibility standards by emphasizing clear, consistent module structures, intuitive navigation, and reduced cognitive load for all learners. By organizing content into well-defined units, using consistent headers and layouts, and incorporating an introductory/orientation module with GCC-aligned templates, faculty support key rubric areas such as course design, content presentation, and learner support. Additionally, simplifying course navigation and reducing clutter enhances accessibility by making content easier to locate and interact with, particularly for students using assistive technologies. These practices reflect accessibility standards (such as WCAG) by promoting perceivable, operable, and understandable course environments, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and equitable learning experience.
