Event DescriptionOut of the Shadows: Lessons from DACA & the Dream Movement is a powerful workshop that explores the pivotal role of undocumented and DACA students in shaping modern social justice movements. Through storytelling and historical analysis, participants will learn how the bravery and innovation of these young leaders redefined the American imagination of what it means to be undocumented. Participant OutcomesBy attending, participants will: Gain a deeper understanding of the experiences and contributions of undocumented and DACA students. Learn practical strategies to create a more welcoming and supportive environment for these student populations. Strengthen cultural competency and advocacy skills to better serve diverse communities on campus. Explore how lessons from the Dream Movement can be applied to current efforts that advance equity, inclusion, and student success.
