Mentoring Men of Color (MMC) - Culminating Event

Mentoring Men of Color (MMC) is a mentorship program that matches students with faculty, staff, or administrators to collaborate on a project/activity for the academic year. Mentor and Mentee pairs meet at least three times per semester (Fall and Spring) to build rapport, leadership skills, and work towards the project completion. In addition to mentor/mentee pair meetings, the cohort will have events to engage with other pairs, share progress, and have discussions (cultural wealth, dealing with social anxiety, public speaking, etc.). The program concludes with a Culminating Event which showcases the projects of the mentor/mentee pairs and highlights their mentorship experience.   - The events are attended by mentors/mentees who have applied and been accepted into the mentorship program.  Location and Zoom links will be provided to mentors/mentees who are accepted into the program.    - Meet and Greet Event - September 29, 2023 - 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM - IN Person SV280   - Pair and Share Event - November… Organization: Student Equity.
