Lumpia with a Vengeance - Film Screening
Lumpia with a Vengeance is an action comedy about a lumpia-armed hero who reappears in Fogtown and teams up with a high school student to prevent a mysterious crime syndicate from destroying their town, and her parents' dream wedding. The film has also been developed as a comic that extends this 'deep fried universe'. The film is true community effort, developed, funded, and starring the community. And it makes use of the one iconic food that defines our community -LUMPIA!

The haka is the traditional war dance of the Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand. It was made famous by the All Blacks rugby team. Now is your chance to learn this well-known, enlivening and invigorating dance and experience the power of this cultural phenomenon. We will learn the history and cultural significance of the haka as well as learn how to do the haka. Haka incorporates full-body movement, voice, facial expressions, self-expression, mind, breath, spirit, posture and action.
