Through interactive activities, discussion, and reflection, students learn about key milestones in LGBTQ+ history, the impact of intersectionality, and the ways language, policies, and everyday actions shape campus climate. Emphasizing empathy, respect, and shared responsibility, the workshop helps students recognize how to support peers, challenge bias, and build affirming spaces. By centering voices, experiences, and actionable strategies, the session aims to strengthen students sense of belonging and mattering at Long Beach City College.
