Fall 2026 Faculty Career Champions - Session Two
Join a two-session professional development program designed to help faculty integrate career learning outcomes and the NACE Career Readiness Competencies into their courses.
Through interactive discussion and applied activities, participants will explore how to make career readiness visible in the classroom, help students articulate transferable skills and strengthen SFSU’s career ecosystem. Each participant will receive a copy of The Career Ecosystem Era in Higher Education, Podany(2025), to support continued learning and implementation.
Faculty will leave with practical strategies to connect coursework to career pathways and post-graduation success.

The Intramural Sports program offers structured sport leagues for SF State students, faculty and staff geared to promote fair play, positive social interaction, effective communication, and healthy lifestyles in a safe and fun environment.
Participants can create teams made up friends and play against other teams created within the SF State community. IM Sports are typically offered in the evenings Monday through Thursday during both the fall and spring semesters. Seasons range from 8-10 weeks in length and consist of men's, women's and co-ed leagues offered at various competitive levels. Intramural Sports offered include basketball, outdoor soccer, indoor soccer, volleyball, and flag football. All games are officiated by trained referees and staff.

Program Overview
The Campus Recreation Department at San Francisco State University offers American Red Cross safety courses. These courses assist participants in obtaining certifications and acquiring essential knowledge for preventing, recognizing, and responding to cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses.
This course involves a blended learning experience, including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. Upon completing the online portion and the instructor-led classroom skill session, you will receive a digital certificate for the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/C.P.R./A.E.D. This certificate is valid for two years and demonstrates your commitment to safety and ability to handle various emergencies.

Book Talk: Understanding the EU and its Future with Laurent Warlouzet
Professor Laurent Warlouzet from Sorbonne Université Paris will discuss his recently published book, Liberty, Solidarity and Community: Capitalism and European Integration, 1945 to the Present. Warlouzet gives a new historical account of European integration as the process of creating European institutions that would govern the European economy based on the values promoting capitalism, social welfare and as well as having collective European purpose in the world. He will share his findings and be in dialogue with Professor Scott N. Siegel from the Department of International Relations.
