A solo exhibition of photography and sculpture by Jamil Hellu featuring themes of identity fluidity, cultural heritage, and queer representation. Born in Brazil and of Syrian descent, Hellu's multicultural background informs his practice, fostering empathy and dialogue, advocating for greater inclusivity and understanding. His work has been discussed in The New York Times, The Guardian, Artforum, and VICE and his work is held in collections at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Cantor Arts Center, and the Blanton Museum of Art. The second Thursday of each month volunteers from Cuesta College serve lunch to more than 100 people at the homeless center, 40 Prado.
