Dr. Schipper is an Associate Professor of Economics and Data Analytics at the University of St. Thomas, where he has been a faculty member since 2014. His work focuses on macroeconomics, economic growth and development, and forecasting, with particular interest in how informal firms shape economic outcomes in developing countries and how data revisions affect economic predictions. Dr. Schipper is also deeply involved in working with student researchers, often collaborating with them on his research projects. He earned his PhD and MS in Economics from the University of Oregon and his BA from Central College.
