Trio Nebbia Performance

Trio Nebbia consists of Ji Hye Jung (percussion), Winston Choi (piano), and Geoffrey Deibel (saxophone). These three internationally acclaimed soloists combine three instruments less commonly heard together in the concert hall than in the jazz club, offering a stunning array of sound worlds from the subtly nuanced to the unbridled and radical, and providing a comprehensive sonic palate that can adapt to the vision of any composer. The trio met and began performing together regularly at the Cortona Sessions for New Music in Italy (one of the premiere summer programs for contemporary music in the world) and decided to begin concertizing regularly in 2019. The trio members are all also active educators in the United States, teaching at Vanderbilt University, Roosevelt University, and Florida State University respectively. Hartt Wind Ensemble Opens 2026–27 Academic Concert Season
The Hartt Wind Ensemble opens its 2026–27 academic concert season on Tuesday, September 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Lincoln Theater on the campus of the University of Hartford. The performance marks the ensemble’s first concert of the academic year under the direction of new Director of Bands and Wind Ensembles, Dr. T. André Feagin, Associate Professor of Conducting at The Hartt School. Admission is free.
The program reflects an artistic vision centered on communication, craftsmanship, and the expressive possibilities of the modern wind ensemble. Rather than beginning his first concert at Hartt with the expected celebratory fanfare, Feagin opens with Gustav Holst’s Hammersmith, one of the wind repertoire’s most significant works. The deliberate choice places artistry, patience, and musical depth at the forefront.

The Hartt School Community Division's annual presentation of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker premiered in December of 2011. It has become a beloved holiday tradition in the Greater Hartford community, and features an ever-growing cast of students of the Classical Ballet Program performing alongside collegiate students and world-renowned professional guest artists.
