Open to the Public University of District of Columbia (UDC) is collaborating with the Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) offering training for pesticide application certification. The course will be held on UDC’s main campus starting June 24 to June 28  from 6:00 pm to 9:45 pm. Participants will be provided with study materials informational lectures and eligible for a personal protective equipment raffle. The course will be facilitated by Dr. Megan Wilkerson, all are offered free of cost. The purpose of this training is to prepare participants to take the pesticide certification exam for recertification or obtain a pesticide applicator license from DOEE. The training will supply participants with general knowledge of proper management practices concerning pesticide use. Open to the Public The UDC College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability, and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) is planning to hold a community listening session at each of its DC Urban Food Hubs over the summer.
