Dr. Claiborne’s sabbatical centered on the creation and international release of a new album, a project that has garnered significant scholarly and broadcast recognition, including over 3,000 radio airplays and an invitation to contribute to the United Kingdom’s Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music’s 2027 syllabus. This creative output forms the core of an upcoming music publication by Hal Leonard that features the edited musical performances from the album. In a parallel technical inquiry, Dr. Claiborne helped to develop a novel app utilizing AI facial recognition to address practical challenges in musical performance, specifically hands-free score navigation.
