New York City based classical Indian Kathak dancer barkha patel will present a solo evening of performance including both current and emerging works. Lauded by The New York Times for her "brilliant virtuosity and bewitching charm," she has toured India, Canada and the United States and is both the Juried Bessie Award winner (2023) and a Princess Grace Dance awardee (2024).
This performance is made possible with funds from the New York State DanceForce, a partnership program of the NYS Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the NYS Legislature.

Edward Simon Trio

Early music ensemble
Four different students groups of the Early Music Ensemble will perform, with between two and six instrumentalists in each group. Our concert brings together Baroque sounds from England, Italy, France, and Germany, written by well-known and lesser-known composers, all fascinating works. Among them are compositions by Giovanni Giacomo Gastoldi, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, Thomas Billington, and Carl Friedrich Abel.
