Family Weekend - Drop in at the Sustainable Carolina Garden
The Office of Sustainability and Sustainable Carolina invite family, friends, and students to visit the Sustainable Carolina Garden. The Sustainable Carolina Garden is located behind Green Quad C (1216-C Wheat St) between Sumter and Main St. (across Sumter St. from the Blatt Field). Drop by and learn about our garden program from student Garden Guides, sample hyper-local fresh produce, or just take a break from the hustle and bustle of the weekend!
The Sustainable Carolina Garden initially began as a few student garden boxes in 2007. Since then it has evolved into a successful student-run urban garden and agribusiness. The Garden fosters student development outside of the classroom through service, leadership development, teaching and entrepreneurship, while promoting healthier, more sustainable food systems locally. Our growing success is the result of our energy, vision, and hard work of our students as well as the support of our many partners.
Admission Cost: Free.
Friday, September 12, 2025, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
