South Carolina Honors College: Secrets to a Successful Senior Thesis

This workshop will offer some tools and insights into managing the senior thesis. Specifically, we'll discuss using agile project management principles to bring order to an often unwieldy project, developing good habits to enhance productivity, and overcoming common problems in producing the thesis (e.g. writer's block, imposter syndrome, and procrastination). Students currently enrolled in SCHC 390 or SCHC 499 are invited to attend. Participants will have time to work on their own project plans during the session. Light refreshments will be provided. South Carolina Honors College: Senior Thesis Writing Accountability Group

Are you worried about making time to work on your senior thesis? Do you lose focus when working on your own? Many writers find that working in the same space as other writers helps them be more productive and feel more supported. The Senior Thesis Writing Accountability Group helps advance your thesis by making you accountable to others, protecting space on your calendar for writing, and helping you stay on task during writing sessions. South Carolina Honors College: Project Vida Org Meeting

Project Vida is a public-health-oriented outreach program that makes biweekly visits to Ezekiel Ministries, an after-school program for inner-city children. At these visits, we present a short lesson involving the health topic of that day (Hygiene, Exercise, Nutrition, etc.) and then facilitate related games, crafts, and activities. Project Vida is always excited to have new members and is a great opportunity for students looking for fun service hours and a way to get more involved in the Columbia community.
