Business Law Association - Internal Transactional Competition
Students will work in pairs and participate in two phases: a drafting phase and a negotiation phase. Each team will be given a common fact pattern based on a real-world transaction, along with confidential information known only to the participants representing a particular side. They will first draft a mock Letter of Intent, focusing on terms that are favorable to their client. Teams will then meet in-person for two rounds of negotiations to finalize an agreement. This is an all-day event with multiple rounds of negotiations and a ceremony at the end.

Pro Bono Board - 3L Day of Service: Free Legal Answers with the SC Bar
As part of Pro Bono's 3L Day of Service, the South Carolina Bar is hosting a Free Legal Answers event on campus. Free Legal Answers is an online platform where individuals under a certain income can post legal questions. Volunteer attorneys then answer these questions anonymously. Students then assist the attorneys in writing and researching the answer to these questions.

Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown will discuss his career trajectory and the opportunities and challenges of being an attorney general in today’s political climate.
A Harvard Law School graduate, Brown began his legal career in the Army JAG corps, where he gained experience as both a prosecutor and defense lawyer. He was awarded a Bronze Star in 2005.
He was lead council for Washington State’s governor and was in private practice. Later, he worked as a prosecutor in Washington State until he was nominated in 2021 to become the U.S. Attorney for Western Washington and left that post to seek the office of Attorney General, becoming their 19th AG in 2024.
