Southern Exposure: BlackBox Ensemble
Southern Exposure New Music welcomes The BlackBox Ensemble, a collective of young contemporary music performers based in New York City dedicated to exploring the experimental boundaries of the music of our time through projects that are innovative, impactful, and resonant with our contemporary moment. This creative, curious, and adventurous young ensemble (with USC DMA student Jordan Bartow) is joined by USC faculty violinist Ari Streisfeld, soprano Ashley Emerson, and USC students to present a varied and exciting program of new music featuring a premiere by guest composer and USC alum Baljinder Sekhon.
All Southern Exposure concerts are free, but patron support helps us bring you exciting artists like BlackBox Ensemble. Patrons may reserve seats and support the Southeast’s most adventurous music series! A gift of $150 secures a seat for the entire 2023-24 season.
