SAAS PD Workshop: In-House Days - A Refreshed Approach to Staff Development Days

Do you find it difficult to carve out intentional professional development for your staff? Are you letting the whirlwind run your days and are unable to focus on larger scale goals? If so, then this session is for you! Rebeca Greenfield, Assistant Director for Programming and Projects in the Student Success Center, will highlight the concept of In-House Days - intentional days for staff development or time to progress toward your department's overarching goals. We will discuss gathering ideas that will be beneficial for all staff, what an agenda could look like, and how to carry out a seamless day that leaves staff with full cups.

SAAS Coffee and Collaboration Featuring the Center for Student Engagement
Coffee and Collaboration is an event that aims to promote networking with colleagues and exposure to different offices and departments across the division. The last department to host this semester's Coffee and Collaboration is The Center for Student Engagement. All division staff are invited to attend. Question, Persuade, Refer Training
QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is a nationally recognized suicide prevention certification that equips participants with the skills to recognize warning signs, offer compassionate support, and connect someone to professional help. This interactive training empowers college students, faculty, and staff to confidently respond when someone is experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts. Participants will learn practical, trauma-informed strategies to help keep members of our campus community safe and supported. All attendees receive an official QPR Gatekeeper Certificate and digital badge upon completion.
This training date is in collaboration with the Office of Organizational and Professional Development (OPD); please use their website to register.
