Edible Bookfest
Kick off National Library Week with the library’s Edible Book Festival, a creative and delicious celebration of reading.
Part of an international library tradition that began in 2000, this event invites participants to create edible works inspired by a favorite book, author, or literary theme. Entries can take the form of visual recreations, literary puns, or imaginative interpretations using cake, cookies, crackers, fruit, candy, pasta, bread, or any other edible ingredients.
The event is open to students, faculty, and staff, and entries may be submitted individually or as a group. From 2–2:30, we’ll take time to view and appreciate the entries, followed by a literary smörgåsbord.
Whether you’re bringing an entry or just stopping by, all are welcome.
