Middle School Makers: Beaded Tapestries
Middle School Makers is a free after-school art program at the Wellin Museum of Art for students in 6th – 8th grades. During this session, students will learn to make images using pixelation to be transformed into a beaded tapestry inspired by King David of Harlem by Felandus Thames. Capacity is limited and pre-registration is required.

Wellin Kids | Fan-Tastic Designs
Drop in to explore art and make a creative project as a family! Wellin Kids programs draw inspiration from original works of art and provide an opportunity to experiment. This week, we will adorn folding fans inspired by the fans in Jamea Richmond-Edwards's artwork Follow Me, on view in the exhibition Jamea Richmond-Edwards: Another World and Yet the Same. Get set for summer with your own personalized paper fan.
The first hour (9:30 - 10:30 a.m.) is recommended for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade and the second hour (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) is recommended for children in 3rd through 5th grade. Admission is free. This interactive program is intended for children with their parents/caregivers. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
