Every spring, the Hartt School Community Division (HCD) presents HarttWorks, a multi-genre music and dance performance at the University of Hartford's Millard Auditorium, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford. HarttWorks brings together HCD's most accomplished musicians and dancers in an evening of true collaboration. Through this performance, our students demonstrate the true culmination of an HCD education.

Anthony Bonamici solo recital: piano works by J. K. Paine
HCD Performances
Anthony Bonamici performs solo piano works by the American composer John Knowles Paine (1839-1906). Paine was highly influential in the establishment of American art music and the legitimization of the field of music in the United States. His piano music is mostly unknown. This concert represents the second program in a series performed by Dr. Bonamici comprising the complete solo piano works of the composer.

The Suzuki String Orchestras, under the direction of Emmett Drake, consist of five progressive levels of orchestras comprised of string players trained using the Suzuki method. They are a place to reinforce ideas presented in private lessons and group classes, to learn new orchestral techniques, reinforce reading skills, and be introduced to great music. Join us for a concert of exciting orchestral repertoire played by some of the Hartt Community Division's rising stars.

Connecticut Children’s Chorus (CCC) unites the youth of greater Hartford through our unparalleled choral training program. Hartt Community Division Ensembles Concert: Philharmonia Winds, and Harmony Winds

The foundations of the HCD Wind Ensemble Program, Philharmonia Winds and Harmony Winds, under the direction of Alan Francis, provide middle and high school instrumentalists an opportunity to refine their ensemble and performance skills. Harmony Winds, founded in 2011, is an intermediate wind ensemble for middle and junior high school instrumentalists. Philharmonia Winds is a wind ensemble composed of high school and advanced middle school musicians.
