21st Annual SHM Alumni in the Classroom
The School of Hospitality Management is thrilled to host its 21st Annual Alumni in the Classroom event – a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to learn from the best in the business.
Alumni in the Classroom has become a favorite event for undergraduate and graduate alumni from all graduating classes and hospitality career paths. The primary objective is to bring alumni into the classroom to share expertise in their respective area(s) and to share their lives in the hospitality industry with students.
The 21st Annual Alumni in the Classroom event will be held in person on Wednesday, September 30th, and Thursday, October 1st, on the University Park campus.
How to Register:
This year, we’re excited to continue our new and improved registration process for AITC, allowing you to request the classes in which you’d like to speak as a guest. While we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences, please note that class assignments are not guaranteed.

The Penn State Hotel & Restaurant Society (PSHRS) and the Penn State School of Hospitality Management will honor a distinguished group of SHM alumni during the 2026 Alumni Awards Ceremony and Reception, held in conjunction with the school’s 21st Annual Alumni in the Classroom event.
Connect with alumni, industry professionals, faculty, and students while enjoying great food and celebrating the remarkable achievements and contributions of this year’s honorees.
