Boot-Camp Group Exercise Class

The goal of the boot-camp class is to target every area with a full body work out engaging the core, legs and arms. Participants will be doing various exercises to build overall muscular strength & endurance. The routine for the class will vary each time. Yin Yoga with Fiona is a slow paced class with postures held for longer duration of time, usually done while seated in order to use gravity to open and help intensify the stretch. 2019 Mission Month Day of Service

Manhattan College will honor the legacy of John Baptist de LaSalle by engaging in the community through a variety of service projects with our local community partners on Saturday, April 27th. All individual students, campus groups, faculty, administrators, staff, and alumni are invited to join in the day. Our hope is that the Mission Month Day of Service will encourage students, faculty, staff and alumni to continue to engage in meaningful, sustainable, and mutually-beneficial community engagement initiatives throughout the year. "Two Among the Righteous Fews" A story of Courage in the Holocaust

Nestled in the hills on the western side of Jerusalem is a museum called Yad Vashem. There, people from around the world visit daily to learn about the tragic period of history from 1933 to 1945 known as the Holocaust. The museum serves as an education, research, and historical center in remembrance of the six million Jews across Europe who were murdered at the hands of the Nazi Party machine led by Adolf Hitler. A special section of Yad Vashem is dedicated to those who carried out acts of courage to save the lives of Jews during the Holocaust. Remembered there is a couple from Dieden of the Netherlands, Frans and Mien Wijnakker. Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust is the remarkable tale of how Frans and his wife, Mien, saved the lives of at least two dozen Jews in southern Holland during World War II.
