Yoga On The Quad (Outdoor Fitness)

Join us for our yoga sessions on the Quad! Monday's will be Vinyas yoga where poses are held for a specific number of breaths before moving on to the next pose. Postures create a yoga dance and breath is coordinated with the movements. Wednesday's will be Yin yoga. Yin Yoga is unique in that you are asked to go into a posture, soften the muscle and focus on relaxation (longer hold times). Yin offers deep access to the body. All outdoor yoga classes will require you to Bring Your Own Mat (BYOM). All participants must wear their mask per campus policy. We will provide hand sanitizer and wipes. Please wear athletic attire and we recommend bringing a water bottle/towel. Join us for our virtual book talk with Vietnam veteran, author and photographer, Steven Burchik ’67, to discuss his memoir of the war. Compass and a Camera was Steven's first book, which won an "IPPY" Award, with a Silver Medal in 2015 in the category of autobiographies.
