Koger Jazz Heritage Festival: USC Jazz Alumni Concert
USC Jazz and Koger Center for the Arts present the inaugural Koger Jazz Heritage Festival, featuring three days of jazz concerts. The festival kicks off with a celebration of the USC Jazz Studies department on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 7:30 in the Koger Black Box Theater. The first concert of the festival will feature USC Jazz Alumni, led by the Amos Hoffman Trio.
Tickets are available online and in person at the Koger Center Box Office. Save money by purchasing all four concerts at once! The bundled cost is $44 per person.

Koger Jazz Heritage Festival: Vincent Gardner with USC Jazz Faculty
The second concert of the inaugural Koger Jazz Heritage Festival moves to the Darla Moore School of Business Johnson Performance Hall. Trombonist Vincent Gardner, joined by our illustrious USC Jazz Faculty, performs an exciting program of big band jazz at 3 p.m.
A member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Vincent Gardner has contributed many arrangements to the orchestra. In 2009, he was commissioned by Jazz at Lincoln Center to compose “The Jesse B. Semple Suite,” a 60-minute piece inspired by the short stories of Langston Hughes. Vincent is featured as trombonist on a number of notable recordings and has recorded five CDs as a bandleader for Steeplechase Records. He has performed with The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Bobby McFerrin, Harry Connick, Jr. The Saturday Night Live Band, Chaka Khan, A Tribe Called Quest, and many others. Koger Jazz Heritage Festival, presented by Koger Center for the Arts and the USC School of Music, brings to the stage GRAMMY® Award-winning trumpeter Jon Faddis for its featured Sunday performance!
Jon Faddis with Left Bank Big Band pays a tribute to Dizzy Gillespie at 6 p.m. on the Koger Center main stage. Join Faddis on the Koger Grand Tier at 5:30 p.m. for a pre-concert talk.

Jon Faddis is an American jazz trumpet player, conductor, composer, and educator, renowned for both his playing and for his expertise in the field of music education. Upon his first appearance on the scene, he became known for his ability to closely mirror the sound of trumpet icon Dizzy Gillespie, who was his mentor along with pianist Stan Kenton and trumpeter Bill Catalano.

Koger Jazz Heritage Festival: Jon Faddis and Friends
Partnering with Jazz at Lincoln Center, USC Jazz hosts the Southeast’s Essentially Ellington Regional at Koger Center for the Arts on Monday, February 23. Ten high school jazz ensembles from South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia are participating.
In celebration of this day of learning and of the conclusion of the inaugural Koger Jazz Heritage Festival, esteemed trumpeter Jon Faddis and Friends take the stage for an exciting finale! The winning high school ensemble will kick off the concert, followed by Faddis, Left Bank Big Band, and several special guest artists at 7:30 p.m. Koger Center for the Arts.
