Pathways to Medicine: Q&A with Global Health Alumni

Location: BBH Room 116, All Scholars are invited to "Pathways to Medicine: Q&A with Global Health Alumni," hosted by Dr. Dana Naughton and the Schreyer Medical Team. This Q&A will provide a chance for students to hear from alumni who took traditional and non-traditional paths to a variety of graduate health programs. This panel of Global Health Minor Alumni will share their experiences applying to graduate schools or entering their medical careers, offering insights on applications, job interviewing, gap years, and any other questions. This is an in-person event with a Zoom component to allow interaction with alumni in other areas. Everyone is welcome! Writing Graduate School App Essays

Location:  C9 Atherton Hall, Through this workshop, students will build outlines and drafts to meet the expectations of a Personal Statement, a Statement of Research Interests and Goals, and the workshop will provide space for addressing other types of essay prompts when applying for further education.  Emphasis in this workshop will be placed on building a writing outline, connecting one's accomplishments and strengths to the educational program(s) being considered.  This seminar is appropriate for students who are currently or soon expect to be writing application essays as part of an admissions requirement.  All students are welcome and students can expect to interact with the facilitator and with peer students through this workshop. Gong Days

Location: Grandfather Clock Lounge, Atherton Hall, Come celebrate your thesis completion by ringing the Gong! Gong Days is when graduating Schreyer Scholars complete a time-honored tradition of ringing a ceremonial gong to mark the completion of the thesis and all the other honors requirements for graduating from Penn State with Honors.  Scholars who are eligible to ring the Gong will receive an invitation via email. Schreyer Honors College Fall 2024 Medals Ceremony

Location: Heritage Hall, HUB-Robeson Center, Registration:  Scholars must register themselves and any guests in the Schreyer Student Record System (SRS) by December 4. Schreyer Winter Read: Literary Book
