You'll discuss the possibilities in healthcare, education, innovation, arts that AI makes possible as well as consider concerns about safety, trust, computation power, job loss, and ethics that logically arise with AI. Come ready to think about the power of AI and it potentioal ability to improve the efficiency of human work in every sector of our lives. At the same time, you'll learn to question what it means to be truthful and authentic in a world where AI-powered tools are increasingly mimicking human natural language abilities. Join Dr. Michael Nelson, Professor of Political Science to discuss that over the next few months, the Supreme Court will decide cases about a host of important issues ranging from student loan forgiveness, to conversion therapy for LGBT youth, to gerrymandering and campaign finance, to the legality of presidential actions. We'll talk about some of these cases and the Court's role in U.S. politics today.

Schreyer Medical Team's signature "A Day in the Life of a Medical Student" visit to Penn State College of Medicine is back again in Spring 2026! Join us on ZOOM to learn more about the day, the application process, the logistics, and more. The ZOOM link will be sent to all who register.
Selected applicants will travel to Hershey and attend classes/labs with first-year medical students for a day. Scholars will experience the College of Medicine's unique curriculum and enhance their understanding of learning medicine. Scholars will also have the opportunity to network with medical student ambassadors and the Office of Student Admissions. Those with a strong interest in becoming a future physician and the Penn State College of Medicine are encouraged to register.

Location: Heritage Hall, HUB-Robeson Center,
Registration: Scholars must register themselves and any guests in the Schreyer Student Record System (SRS).
The Fall 2025 Medals Ceremony will recognize graduating Scholars and they will receive their scholar medal.
Immediately following the ceremony, Schreyer will host a reception in Alumni Hall, HUB-Robeson Center. Join your family, friends, and College staff for light refreshments and Schreyer-branded photo opportunities to celebrate your achievements.
