English Studies Creative Writing Series: Daniel Khalastchi and Joanna Luloff

Two award-winning writers--Daiel Khalastchi and Joanna Luloff--will read and then provide a q&a regarding writing and publishing for attendees. Daniel Khalastchi is an Iraqi Jewish American poet, educator, and publisher. His most recent book, The Story of Your Obstinate Survival, was awarded the National Jewish Book Award for Poetry and longlisted for the PEN/Voelcker Award for Poetry. Daniel lives in Iowa City where he is the Executive Director of the Office of Writing and Communication at the University of Iowa. https://www.danielkhalastchi.com/ Joanna Luloff received her MFA from Emerson College and her PhD from the University of Missouri. Before that, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sri Lanka.
