Follow the story of Chase and Paige as their relationship goes from new and fun to unhealthy behaviors that escalate into abuse. See the early signs of relationship abuse and discuss how Chase and Paige’s relationship might have gone differently. Event Name: One Love: Escalation. Organization: Center for Wellness. The Center for Wellness offers OneWIT, a student support leadership training course at various times throughout the year. OneWIT is designed to equip students with the skills and confidence to identify when a fellow student might be experiencing a mental health challenge, reach out to them, and offer beneficial support. Mental Health First Aid Certification Training for Faculty & Staff

The Center for Wellness offers Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification trainings throughout the year separately for faculty & staff, and for students. MHFA is a nationally recognized course that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges. The MHFA program was designed to help decrease stigma around mental health challenges and give participants the tools they need to address tough situations and support those around them.    The course covers: Common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges How to interact with a person in crisis How to connect a person to help Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care , MHFA is an 8-hour course offered over two 4-hour sessions and held in person on the WIT campus.
