Fall 2025 Healthy Connections Fair
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 202510 a.m.–2 p.m.Elliott Student Union AtriumHosted by the Office of Student Experience and Engagement,
At the University of Central Missouri, we know that meaningful connections are key to personal and academic success. That’s why we’re inviting you to the Healthy Connections Fair—a fun and interactive event designed to help students explore what it means to build strong, healthy connections both on campus and in the wider community.
This year, we’re expanding the conversation to include not just relationships and well-being, but also volunteering and community involvement—because giving back is a powerful way to connect with others, grow personally, and make a lasting impact.
Throughout the fair, students can engage with campus departments and local organizations offering resources and opportunities in areas like:
Boundaries – learning how to set and respect personal limits,
,
Communication – building open, healthy dialogue,

Cats, plants, cozy furniture and my mother’s blanket are all motifs that show up in Hixon’s oil paintings, usually brightly colored and in sunny spaces. I weave between doing direct studies of spaces in my home and imagining new spaces and items that mingle together to create idealized scenes.
