Disability Resources & NCSD Info Session
Campus Police Requested
A tour group from the North Carolina School for the Deaf is coming to Appalachian State University as prospective students on Wednesday, October 8th. They intend to take an official tour of campus (I believe around 12:30pm). They have also asked to meet with our office, the Office of Access & Opportunity: Disability Resources, to learn more about accessibility and accommodations on campus. Our office does not have the space to host 20 students, plus NCSD staff, so we would like to provide them with a tailored informational session about our office, accommodations, and information specific to Deaf access. It would likely be two members from ODR, the 20 students, I think 2 staff members from NCSD, 2 ASL interpreters, and perhaps one person from Campus Events. It is not intended to be a public event, just looking for a space so we can meet with the prospective students!
