Art Exhibit Opening Reception: Allusion of a Symphony
Please join us on Tuesday, April 28, for the opening reception of the student-led exhibition Allusion of a Symphony, prepared by curators Brooke Bollermann and Ava Kassab with input from the Art 4012 Exhibitions Practicum class.
Allusion of a Symphony explores how music, dance and visual art share a common language of rhythm, movement and emotion. Inspired by the structure of a four-movement symphony, the exhibition guides viewers through shifting energies, beginning with bold rhythm, moving into reflection, rising into playfulness and culminating in a powerful finale. Throughout the exhibition visual elements echo ideas of music and rhythm through pattern, harmony, color relationships and movement. These works highlight how music, dance and visual art are interconnected expressions of human experience.
The exhibition will be on display at the McKinney Alumni Center until next spring.
