Spring 2026 Immunization Compliance Deadline

Academic Calendar The North Carolina state law requires that no person shall attend a college or university in North Carolina unless a certificate of immunization indicating that the person has received the immunizations required by law is presented to the college or university on or before the first day of registration. If the certificate of immunization has not been submitted to Winston-Salem State University by the date of the student’s initial registration, the University shall present a notice of deficiency to the student. The student shall have thirty (30) calendar days from the first day of class to obtain the required immunizations. In accordance with the 301.6 - Immunization policy, those persons who have not complied with the immunization requirements by the end of thirty (30) calendar days will be administratively withdrawn from the University unless a valid exemption exists. Academic Calendar Changes in Registration (Course Adjustment Period or Drop/Add), In accordance with the 301.7 – Registration policy, students may add and drop courses from their schedule until the end of the Change of Registration period each semester, which is the first ten (10) class days of a fall or spring term. The courses for which students are registered at the close of the registration period constitute their official registration and course load for the semester and count as Attempted Hours. No student will receive credit for any course or courses for which they have not properly registered and paid.
