Quaff & Quill: Book Talk with Emily Sneff
Join the Institute for Thomas Paine Studies and historian Emily Sneff for an engaging book talk on When the Declaration of Independence Was News (2026). Sneff reimagines 1776 as a fast-moving media moment, tracing how the Declaration spread through newspapers, translations, and rumor across the Atlantic world. Discover how ordinary people first encountered independence and why it felt uncertain, contested, and urgent. This lively talk connects revolutionary history to today’s information landscape. Open to all students, faculty, and community members.
Light refreshments will be served.
