Langfan Constitutional Oral Competition

The Langfan Oratory Constitutional Competition is an opportunity for undergraduate students interested in law, government, and policy to showcase their amazing public speaking skills. A US Constitution-based fact pattern will be provided to all participating students in advance, and students will have 5 minutes to argue their positioning about the view they ascribe to, and why, to a panel of judges. Cash prizes, ranging from approximately $400 to $800 per student, are awarded to students who win first, second, and third place in the Competition from both the Beren and Wilf campuses. Active Minds at Yeshiva University is dedicated to destigmatizing mental illness within our community. Stomp Out The Stigma is our biggest avenue in doing so! Largely regarded as the most powerful, inspiring event of the year at YU, Stomp Out The Stigma features 2-4 brave, passionate students speaking openly about their struggles and triumphs with mental illness. Past speakers have described speaking at the event as "literally life-changing" and "one of, if not the, most important and best decision of my life." Students share their journeys through mental illness and mental health, giving strength and inspiration to their fellow YU students.
