RASCC Tour of Stony Brook Village

Dear Suffolk County Community College Retiree,   Our next event for this year will be December 10, 2025.  This two-part event takes place in Stony Brook Village. Stony Brook Village always has lovely decorations for the holidays and a tree decoration contest! Our holiday luncheon will be at Schnitzels Restaurant, 77 Main Street, Stony Brook, NY. The luncheon will be at 1:00pm giving you lots of time to look around the village at all the lovely decorations.  With an open menu there will be lots of great food from which to choose. By all means go to their web page and check out the food!  Rather than pre-paying, the restaurant agrees small group checks (4-5 people) make life easier. We’ve done this at several of our events, and it works out best.   The second part of the event is a “DO AT YOUR OWN PACE”.  Stony Brook Village has a Christmas tree decorating contest and you are free to walk around, check out all the trees and cast a ballot for the one you think is the best. The mission of the Suffolk Community College Foundation is to support student access to quality education and workforce training by providing scholarships, emergency student loans and funding for program development. The Foundation awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships each year.
