Free Geek Technology Recycle Collection Pick Up

Mt. Hood Community College is partnering with Free Geek to host a technology collection event in April in honor of Earth Month and their 25th birthday. Join us on Saturday, April 19th from 10 am- 2 PM at Mt. Hood Community College- Parking Lot P (26000 SE Stark St. Gresham OR, 97030) and drop off your used or unneeded tech.
Free Geek will accept nearly everything that plugs in or uses technology, including computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, TVs, audio/visual systems, related accessories, and more.
For over two decades, Free Geek has provided e-waste recycling services by taking over 1 million pounds of technology every year to ethically recycle and sustainability reuse. Over the last six years, Free Geek has worked with a network of digital equity practitioners and other partners to identify the communities most impacted by digital inequality. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month: Lunch and Learn

Kathryn Jubitz, BSN, RN, CNOR, OR-SANE from the Providence S.A.F.E. Center will be sharing a presentation about sexual assault. She will define what it is, what to do if you experience it, and how you can support each other. There will be an open Q&A at the end of the presentation.
SAAM is a time for advocates, survivors, their loved ones, and the community to come together to talk openly about sexual violence to support survivors, increase knowledge and awareness, and identify strategies and resources to prevent sexual violence.
Sexual Assault Awareness Month is an opportunity to listen to and honor survivors in our community. It is a time to show those who have been impacted by sexual violence that they are not alone. It is also an opportunity to learn more about what sexual violence in the digital age looks like.
