The Linfield Theatre season will kick off with the third installment of The 24 Hour Plays, a raucous event that puts students on the clock to make the best art they can, from inception of an idea through production of a performance. On Friday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. student playwrights, actors, directors and designers will gather to receive a writing prompt that challenges the students to write, rehearse and perform new plays in a 24–hour period. By 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, the theatre doors will open to audiences to come see what the students have created. A second performance will be offered at 9:30 p.m. that night. Admission is free and on a first–come, first–served basis. Some content may not be suitable for all audiences. The 24 Hour Plays®? is presented under a license and with the participation of The 24 Hour Plays®?

Patterns of Wildness
Patterns of Wildness — seven world premiere recordings by four composers who have all taught or studied at Linfield University. Musical patterns drawn from living or weather-made phenomena push back against formal organization, reflecting the incredible juxtaposition of wildness and cultivation in the verdant Willamette Valley where Linfield University fosters its artists. A national finalist for The American Prize in Chamber Music Performance, LCME features faculty, students, and alumni playing side by side in a Pierrot-plus-percussion instrumentation.
Music by William Campbell, Andrea Reinkemeyer, Zach Gulaboff Davis, Élana Gatien, and Greg Steinke.
