Return to the Fools Garden, an exhibit by artist Richard Cutshall will be featured in the Linfield Gallery in the Miller Fine Arts Center from Aug. 27 through Sept. 26, 2025. Linfield Theatre’s educational touring company will premiere a new work “Transitions,” book and lyrics by Professor Derek Lane and Jo Strom Lane, additional lyrics by David Stephens and Natalie Novoa, with music by Kevin Lee Lane, in Ice Auditorium on September 7 at 7 p.m. Roman Sanchez, a Lacroute Arts Series visiting artist, will direct the production. “Transitions” will tour local high schools throughout the fall of 2025 as both a recruitment tool and as a learning opportunity for the theatre education majors. “Transitions” explores the challenges high school seniors face as they graduate. Whether they decide to go to a 4–year university or community college, take a gap year or join the workforce, these young lives must juggle adult expectations, relationships, and peer pressure in a world where a new playing field seems to evolve daily.
