Linfield Theatre: "Macbeth"

The day before Halloween, Linfield Theatre opens the most haunted and haunting of all of Shakespeare’s classics: Macbeth. With iconic lines like “Double, double, toil and trouble,” and “out, out, damn spot,” Macbeth demonstrates what happens when ambition and prophesy combine, to fatal effect. A fast–paced, intimate tragedy, Macbeth careens through a world of magic, war and violence in many forms. This production reveals the way human greed and lust for power ravages the land, our communities and our sense of self. Between witches chanting, battles, and assassination, this production will immerse audiences in a medieval–modern universe that suggests Scotland and has deep resonances to today. It is directed by Lindsey Mantoan. Performance dates are Oct. 30, 31 and Nov. 1, Nov. 6, 7 and 8, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9. Fog, haze and flashing lights will be used.
