The Alexander Gallery is pleased to present Pressure Drop, a solo exhibition of work by Portland-based artist, Paula Bullwinkel. This exhibition opens February 9 and runs through March 6, 2026. A reception will be held Thursday, February 19th from noon to 1:00 and Bullwinkel will speak about her work at 12:30pm.
In Pressure Drop large-scale figurative oil paintings depicting women, children and animals are inspired by the artist's real-life experiences and present a curious sense of mystery while taking viewers on a narrative journey. With the use of unexpected color and exploration of spatial tricks, these works present curious dynamics and evade the mundane. Please join us in celebrating this work! HOW IT WORKS,
Come prepared with your best piece in any genre! You'll have 10 minutes to perform for a panel of CCC faculty, sight-read, and tell us about your musical experience. Accompanist not provided. Warm-up room available. Piano, drumset, percussion instruments, and amplifier available upon request. Auditionees will be notified of the outcome in the weeks following the audition via the email address provided during sign-up.
